2026 Exhibit Hanbook
REGISTRATION:
We are using the online FairEntry program this year for the exhibits to streamline the registration process. Once you establish your account, it can be used from year to year to enter exhibits. Please pay special attention to these dates to know when the system will be OPEN and CLOSED.
12:00 am May 15, 2026 – 11:59 pm August 17, 2026: Fair entry is OPEN for early registration
12:00am August 18, 2026 – 7:59am August 20, 2026 @: Fair entry is CLOSED for maintenance
8:00am August 21, 2026: Fair entry is OPENED back up for registration
Additional exhibits can be added to your account on the day you bring in your exhibits as needed. Also, onsite registration will be available if you are unable to do an online entry, so no need to worry, we will take care of you!
Exhibit entries well be accepted on Friday, August 21, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m; Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 1:00 pm until 5 pm and Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Exhibits should be brought to the Farmer’s Market – Wholesale side, 2nd entrance, 1st bay. (1st entrance is Retail/Direct Sales).
Entries arriving after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026, will be accepted but
will not be judged. These entries will be for exhibition only. Quilt judging and
canned goods judging will commence at 5 pm.
The release time for the exhibits will be Monday, August 31, 2026, 9 am to 3:00
p.m.
No exhibits may be removed until release time. It is the exhibitor’s
responsibility to pick up or dispose of their exhibits on Monday, August 31, 2026.
If for some reason you cannot pick your exhibit up on Monday, please make
arrangements with Lauren on picking your exhibits up. After that time, all entries
will be considered abandoned, and the fair will in no way be responsible for them.
All perishable items will be disposed of.

USDA Guidelines regarding home canning and preserving foods will be followed for determining acceptable and unacceptable entries:

- Go to fairentry.com
- Choose your fair – Carroll County Agricultural Fair, Virginia
- “How would you like to Participate” – click on As an Exhibitor
- If you do not already have a fair entry account, you will need to create one. Once you have created your account, you can use this account every year to enter.
- Once your account is created, you can login.
- Then click – Register as an Exhibitor, then click Individual.
- Continue following the prompts to enter your exhibits

- Adult ages – Over 18
- Youth Ages 18 and under
- Special Needs – All ages
PHOTOGRAPHY INFORMATION
Photography Rules:
*Please NOTE: The photography rules may be changed per the photography committee

- Articles must be the work of the person in whose name they are entered.
- All photographs must be taken from August 2025 to August 2026.
- Youth may enter the adult categories but will be judged as adult. Black and White photographs can be entered into any category.
- Entries are judged on appearance, composition, tone, balance, clarity, contrast, and suitability to category entered. Color photos will be judged on range of tones or contrast.
- Only one entry per exhibitor per category.
- Photos must be 8 x 10’s only or 8 ½ x 11 photo paper.
- No decorative borders, no frames.
