Pageant begins at 2:00 p.m.

Wee Miss (0 – 12 months)
Baby Miss (13 -23 months)
Toddler Miss (2 – 3 yrs.)
Mini Miss (4 – 5 yrs.)
Young Miss (6 – 7 yrs.)
Petite Miss (8 – 9 yrs.)
Preteen Miss (10 – 12 yrs.)
Teen Miss (13 – 15 yrs.)
Miss (16 – 22 yrs.)

Wee Baby- Preteen Miss: Mandatory Events are Gown and Casual Wear $45

Gown: All age groups will model a gown of their choice. Any style is acceptable-may be glitzy, plain, flower girl, etc. Contestants in Wee Baby-Young Miss may wear a long or short gown. All other age groups must wear long gowns.
 
Casual Wear: Contestants will wear casual wear outfits. We are just looking for a cute, well-fitted outfit that shows the contestant’s personality. Solid colors are encouraged, as prints can be distracting. For example, please contact the director. Upbeat music will be provided.
 
Teen Miss, and Miss: Mandatory Events: Gown, Casual Wear, and Interview - $50
 
Gown: All contestants in these divisions MUST wear a long gown of their choice. Gowns must be age appropriate and tasteful. There will be an on-stage question during the gown.
 
Casual Wear: Contestants will wear casual wear outfits. We are just looking for a cute, well-fitted outfit that shows the contestant’s personality. Solid colors are encouraged, as prints can be distracting. For example, please contact the director. Upbeat music will be provided.
 
Interview: Contestants may wear a dress, pants suit, or business/interview suit. Each contestant will have a three (3) minute panel style interview. Please complete the interview fact sheet included in the paperwork. Interview times will be emailed prior to the pageant.
 
ALL CONTESTANTS WILL RECEIVE A GIFT!
 
OPTIONAL AWARDS AVAILABLE TO ALL AGE GROUPS:
 
Photogenic
$5.00 per photo: Submitted photos should be age appropriate and may be natural or moderately re-touched. Pictures may be B&W or color and should be 8x10 in size. You may enter as many photos as you like with the highest score considered for the Age Division Photogenic award.
 
People’s Choice Award
This is an opportunity to show your favorite contestant love. The people’s choice
winner will receive a crown and sash. Votes will be $1.00 each and voting will take place in the lobby.
 
Community Service
Each contestant is asked to bring a minimum of 5 non-perishable food items for the food drive that will benefit the local food pantries. The contestant that brings the most food items will be awarded the Community Service Crown and Sash.

Age 5 and under - Free 6 years and up - $5.00
(One free admission for chaperone with contestant)
 
 
Rules and Regulations​

1. ABSOLUTELY NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN AT THE DOOR!!!
2. The Director will not combine age divisions for any reason.
3. All contestants will compete on an equal basis. Our judges will be well qualified to judge your child. All judges’ decisions are FINAL!
4. To be in compliance with the Miss VAF rules:
   1. Must be and have always been female.
   2. Contestants must display good moral character (including social media posts).
   3. Must be single, never married, never been pregnant, and never had children.
   4. As a role model, she must demonstrate outstanding citizenship. The contestant will not be allowed to compete if she has been convicted of a crime or has criminal charges pending against her (not including minor traffic violations). Contestants MUST disclose at the time of the pageant any criminal charges (excluding traffic violations).
5. No males allowed in the dressing room.
6. If age/residency is questioned, the contestant must be prepared to provide proof of age/residency.
7. Contestant and all accompanying pageant guests shall conduct themselves in a proper, professional manner. Any display of uncooperative or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification.
8. If, at any point during her reign, a title holder is no longer able to meet the requirements, she will forfeit her title/prize package to the next qualified runner up. If she has used her prize package winnings, she will be responsible for financial reimbursement to the Miss Carroll County Agricultural Fair.
9. ALL QUEENS ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN FAIR EVENTS (EQUAL TO 3 APPEARANCES.)  Events may include the following:
   1. The fair parade (MANDATORY)
   2. Award presentations at the fair (Livestock Shows and Pet Show)
   3. Equine events at the fair
10. All Queens are requested to participate/appear in other local events throughout the year. Events may include:
    1. 4th of July Parade
    2. Christmas Parade
    3. We encourage other appearances and volunteer opportunities. We respectfully ask you to speak with the director in advance prior to making appearances.
11. THE WINNER OF THE MISS DIVISION WILL BE OBLIGATED TO COMPETE AT THE MISS VIRGINIA ASSOCIATION OF FAIRS PAGEANT IN JANUARY 14th-17th 2027.
12. Hair and Makeup:

          A.  There will be a hair and makeup artist onsite the day of the competition. Please contact the Pageant director
                for more information.
          B.  Light, natural tanning is allowed; however, your child should not look orange or dirty. Your child does not
                have to be tanned to win.
          C.  False eye lashes are allowed on Teen Miss, and Miss contestants ONLY.
          D.  Make-up—these are rules to be followed, but remember, NO AGE MUST WEAR MAKEUP. Makeup is
                not a requirement to win.
                1.  Wee Miss (0-12 months) and Baby Miss (13-23 months) - NO MAKEUP and contestants will be checked in group
                     lineup.
                2.  Toddler Miss (2-3 yrs.) are allowed light face powder, light blush, and lip gloss, ONLY. No foundation, no eye
                     shadow, no eye liner, no lip liner, and no colored lip stick.
                3.  Mini Miss (4-5 yrs.) and up are allowed LIGHT, age-appropriate makeup. Make up should look natural and
                     enhance the contestant’s natural beauty.
 
13.  Modeling should be upbeat, peppy, and fun! It is acceptable for an adult to go on stage with a contestant up to
       age 5 (if that is what the contestant needs to feel comfortable.) Ages 4-5 may have coaching assistance from
       behind the judges (provided it does not interfere with the judging process.)
14.  Stage will be a front “T” (3 “X”’s on the front and 1 “X” at backstage entry.) Please see the diagram below.
15.  Open Stage practice – (optional) will be available on Friday, June 12th from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
       The Director will be available for any questions. The stage will also be available for practice during registration
       on Saturday morning.
16.  Groups will be called to line up. If the contestant isn’t in lineup, ready to go when called individually, the
       contestant will take an automatic 10-point deduction off total score for that event.
